Motor City Pagans

With the metro Detroit Pagan community facing a tough economy, we wanted to do something to help. We believe that getting to know what our local Pagan community has to offer is good for us and for our local economy. Shop locally, support local Pagan businesses and enjoy local Pagan art and music. Of course we have been striving since day one to let everyone know what's available to them locally through our directories and event calendars but this year we're going to take things a step further!

Michigan Mayfest is a Beltane festival celebrating the sacred fires of creative passion in the Michigan Pagan community. We are giving top booking priority to local performers and workshop presenters, hosting an art gallery featuring local artists and inviting Michigan based merchants and craftsmen & women to show you what they've got in person. From fabulous food to clothing to ritual tools to musical instruments, we are putting together a festival that will highlight the best the Michigan Pagan community has to offer. We've also got a great kids program lined up and, of course, there will be Maypoles and rituals performed by local Pagan clergy! We aren't being totally rigid though, we've got some special guests coming in from some of our border states as well. You don't want to miss this great event and at only $15 for an advance ticket and cheap camping adjacent to the festival grounds, you don't have any reason to.

The first annual Michigan Mayfest is taking place on April 24th at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Belleville Michigan. The gate opens at 10am and closes at 10pm. Tickets are $15 in advance for adults, $10 for children and may be purchased on our website. Tickets will also be on sale at ConVocation, at our monthly Pagan Family Gatherings and at other locations to be announced. Tickets will be $20 at the door.
